On March 14th, 518 West Italian Cafe is once again stepping up to the plate to raise funds for the Cross Currents Chamber Music and Arts Festival. I hope you and your friends will be able to share a wonderful meal with three of the members of the Brussels Chamber Orchestra and help raise money for this year's festival. The Cross Currents Festival not only brings internationally acclaimed musicians such as the Brussels Chamber Orchestra to Raleigh and Cary but also builds collaborations with members of the NC Symphony and the Mallarme Players. It's more than a music festival: it's a dream of building a musical bridge between cultures, countries and gifted musicians. With your help, together we can make this dream come true.

Chef Blaine Nierman has cooked up a wonderful menu: grilled ciabbatta with honey and ricotta and a choice of poached eggs on NC crab hash with yellow potatoes, peppers and tarragon mustard hollandaise or vegetable omelet with mushrooms, zucchini, basil, tomatoes, caramelized onions and provolone served with home fries, coffee and juice. At the same time, the Brussels Chamber Orchestra has cooked up an exciting new festival. Come, eat, enjoy and learn about the musical offerings for the 2010 Cross Currents Chamber Music and Arts Festival.
